Floors are Finished

Yesterday they came and put the last two coats on the floors. They look great. The smell was not too bad but there definitely was an odor and we are glad it is gone. Now that we can walk on the floors I spent the day wiring the power, cable and data for the TV in the back living room. I also mounted the TV on the wall.

 

I added an outlet on the wall behind the TV. I ended up running a new circuit for the TV and data quad outlet you can see on the left.

 

I added a quad outlet for the Cable box, DVD player, Stereo and I'm sure we'll find more to plug in. The outlet below is going to have USB plugs for the Iphones and Ipods. I still need to run the two HDMI cables to the TV but I had to order the cables and connections online.

 

Here is a shot of the island wall with the wood stained. It is going to look great with the white counter tops.

 

 

Tomorrow the Cabinets, Appliances, and Sink get delivered. Of course they are like the cable guy and give you a 4 hour window and you have no choice when that window is. I tried requesting morning deliveries but only one of the four actually accommodated that. The contractors were hoping to start the cabinets tomorrow morning but that will have to get pushed back a day.
